Overview This course was designed to give Billing Operations personnel complete and detailed instructions on how to bill insurance companies, state or county agencies, and clients using BTI’s HSS software.

Participants will learn how to collect the necessary information to complete the billing forms used by their agencies and how that information is stored and handled by the software. During training we will process and print billing forms for Private Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and Clients (Self-Pay). This course covers paper and electronic billing processes.
PrerequisitesIndividuals should have some knowledge of the agency billing procedures and external billing regulations as well as the services provided by the agency and how that data is captured. Some knowledge of the AS/400, sign on procedures, and keyboard functions would also be helpful.
Intended AudienceIndividuals responsible for billing for the agency, Supervisors that oversee the billing function, and MIS personnel that want a thorough understanding of BTI HSS billing procedures.
