Overview Learn how to create reports of medical records data and client demographics, such as:
- Statistical Reports,
- Missing Progress Notes for billable services,
- Audit of Required Forms,
- Audit of case reviews: Case Loads,
- Required Data elements and consistency of data, and
- ‘State/County/Federal’ reporting requirements.
Participants are encouraged to bring samples of reports they need to create. Workshop time will be allotted to create some of these reports.
In order for participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the medical record / client database, this course focuses heavily on files and database relationships. Query/400, using the Client Master File, will be taught as the reporting tool to access these files and to write reports. Participants will also learn how to “extract” data from several files at once using BTI’s Report Utility, then use this extract data in a query.
The fourth day will cover “packaging” of extracts and queries, and alterations to standard BTI/HSS menus to include newly created reports.
Prerequisites Thorough knowledge of your agency’s client data tracking and reporting needs. Operational knowledge of BTI/HSS Client Master Maintenance and the CDS Description File.
Intended Audience Medical Records Supervisors, Clinical Directors, Auditing/Quality Assurance Staff, MIS Staff, and personnel responsible for client reporting requirements.
