Overview Participants will learn how to create reports for accounts receivable and service information. Participants are encouraged to bring samples of reports that they need to create. Workshop time will be allotted to create some of these reports.
In order for participants to gain an in-depth understanding of Accounts Receivable database relationships, this course focuses heavily on files and their relationships to Accounts Receivable Operations. Query/400, using accounts receivable data, will be taught as the reporting tool to access these files and write reports. Participants will also learn how to “package” groups of queries together and alter the standard BTI/HSS menus to include these newly created reports.
Prerequisites Knowledge of the agency’s Accounts Receivable reporting needs and Accounts Receivable operations. Operational knowledge of major accounts receivable functions: service entry, billing, payment/remittance processing, and month-end closing.
