Service Data Entry Operations

Overview This course gives Service Entry personnel complete and detailed instruction on how to enter and verify service charge data and correct errors as needed.

Participants will learn how to enter service information, correct data errors, update and verify client information, and enroll clients in the appropriate programs. The process taught will help ensure that all appropriate data needed for billing insurance agencies and agency client demographic reporting information is captured and correct.

Prerequisites Participants should have some knowledge of the agency service entry procedures, the services provided by the agency, and how that data is captured. Some knowledge of the AS/400, sign on procedures, and keyboard functions would also be helpful.

Intended Audience Individuals responsible for clients’ accounts receivable information and entering that information into the system, supervisors that oversee A/R functions, and MIS personnel that want a thorough understanding of Service Entry operations.

- Defining agency data needs
* Updating Client Demographic Information from Service Charge Entry
- Billing Plans and Insurance Information Screens
- Updating Client Progress Notes
- Enrolling clients in programs and how it affects billing
* Correcting data before and after posting
- Recalculating Service Charge entries
- Updating Billing Plans for individual services
- Correcting Client Demographic Information
- Correcting 'Posted’ service data
* Client Service Entry Workshop

Logistics • Courses are held at BTI’s office in Vineland, New Jersey.
• Beverages and lunch are provided for each full classroom day.
• Morning and evening meals are the responsibility of attendees.
