Overview Participants will learn how to create reports of personnel data, such as:
- License Renewal
- Course Completion / Continuing Education
- Personnel needing reviews
- “State/County/Federal” reporting requirements
Participants are encouraged to bring samples of reports that they need to create. Workshop time will be allotted to create some of these reports.
In order for participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the personnel database, this course will focus heavily on files and database relationships. Query/400, using the personnel master file, will be taught as the reporting tool to access these files and to write reports. Participants will also learn how to “extract” data from several files at once using BTI’s Report Utility, and then use this extract data in a query.
The third day will cover “packaging” of extracts and queries, and alterations to standard BTI/HSS menus to include newly created reports.
Prerequisites Thorough knowledge of your agency’s personnel data tracking and reporting needs, and operational knowledge of BTI/HSS Human Resources module.
Intended Audience Human Resource Managers, MIS Staff, and personnel responsible for personnel reporting requirements.
